Thousands of people from the affluent Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles were forced to evacuate after high winds sparked a massive wildfire.
Meanwhile, the raging inferno leveled the house – exploding from 10 acres to more than 2,900 acres in a matter of hours.
At the scene, CBS reporter Jonathan Vigliotti said firefighters are no longer “trying to save” homes in the Palisades, “they’re trying to keep these flames from spreading to other areas.”
