The teenager died and four people were injured in Austria’s knives.
It happened around 4:00 pm local time (15:00 GMT) near the main Square of the Vilakh, the southern city, near the border with Italy and Slovenia.
The victim was 14 years old, and the suspect was a Syrian asylum seeker who was detained, AFP reports, reports with a police officer.
“The man accidentally attacked passers-by,” said police spokesman Rainer Dionysio.
The delivery worker who was driving a car from the attacker helped to prevent more injuries, the ORF police press, Austria’s National Television Company said.
Police did not rule out that the second attacker participated, ORF added.
The leader said that two of the four people were in serious condition.
Any motive or connection between stabbing and five victims are not yet known, although Orf reports that police police have been investigated.
