Steve Benan, a long -standing ally of President Donald Trump, pleaded guilty to cheating on donors who paid for the wall on the US and Mexico border.
For three years, Benan received a sentence of conditional discharge, which means that he will not serve his term of imprisonment as part of the guilt agreement.
The US Department of Justice has accused Benan and three of three of hundreds of thousands of donors in connection with the company “We will build a wall”, which raised $ 25 million (£ 19 million).
Benan’s lawyer said he was not in his pocket on Tuesday.
