Named Data Scientist Rileywho goes by @rtwlz in X, released a bombshell post revealing how he was mining Citi Bike data every minute… and he could see exactly where individual bikes were going.
I’m pretty sure where the United Healthcare killer got away, according to the police, he got away on an electric Citibike.
I happen to be constantly scraping Citibike data every minute so I can see where individual bikes are going.

And here’s the kicker, he says only A northbound Citi Bike to leave within 10 minutes of the shooting outside the Hilton Hotel, where Thompson was entering, left at 6:44 a.m. and headed straight for Madison Avenue and 82nd Street at 6:52 a.m. to
Riley shared a screenshot of a map following the journey that appears to back up his observation.
In a follow-up X post, Riley revealed that she had already notified the NYPD of her findings. And it looks like law enforcement is on to it … sources tell TMZ detectives spotted Riley’s Citi Bike scoop and are looking for it. :
It’s still up in the air if the detectives stumbled upon Riley’s post themselves or if he tipped them off. law enforcement is actively working with this lead along with several others to find answers.
Sources tell us detectives are diving deep into footage from the NYPD’s “Ring of Steel” cameras scattered across Manhattan. With so many cameras, especially in the Midtown area, it’s easy to track the suspect’s every move from block to block.
We’re told police feel pretty confident the suspect’s face is on the surveillance footage, and they’re confident they’ll be able to track his movements from start to finish.
The NYPD at first dropped the gruesome surveillance footage Wednesday morning outside the Hilton Hotel. Footage shows the masked gunman creeping up behind Thompson, 50, pulling out a gun and firing at least 10 shots, then disappearing into an alley across the street.
Thompson was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. The motive for the shooting is still a mystery.
