Blake Lively doesn’t hold back Justin Baldoni’s massive legal challenge… and he says his $400 million lawsuit is straight out of an abuser’s playbook.
On Thursday, Blake’s legal team responded to Justin’s lawsuit with a strong statement, saying… “This is a story for the ages. a woman comes forward with concrete evidence of sexual harassment and retaliation, and the abuser tries to turn the tables on the victim. This is what experts call a DARVO Assault.
Lively’s team says Justin and her production company are trying to “suppress the public’s ability to understand that what they are doing is retaliation against sexual assault allegations.”

Blake’s legal team is pushing back, saying… “They are trying to shift the story to Ms. Lively, falsely claiming that she seized creative control and alienated the cast from Mr. Baldoni. Evidence will show that the cast and others owned them.” Own Negative Experiences with Mr. Baldoni and Wayfarer Evidence will also show that Sony asked Ms. Lively to be monitored by Sony the film they then chose to distribute and was a huge success.”
Back in May 2023, when the film first began shooting, Baldoni claims that Lively was involved in a “takeover” strategy because she wanted creative control over the film.
He also mentions a meeting between Blake and Ryan in a New York penthouse to discuss script rewrites… a meeting Baldon sees as more of a trap than a collaboration.
Taylor Swift Baldoni claims he even showed up at this alleged meeting … and he included a text he says shows Blake Lively comparing himself to Game of Thrones main character Daenerys Targaryen.
Baldoni makes other claims, including her experience at a production meeting where Ryan allegedly insulted her, claiming that JB sexually assaulted Blake their options.
He is suing Lively, Reynolds and Sloane for defamation, civil extortion, tortious interference and a host of other charges, and is seeking no less than $400 million in damages.
Blake’s legal team’s bottom line … “Their response to sexual assault allegations. he wanted it, it’s his fault. Their reasoning for why it happened to him; look at what he was wearing. In short, while the victim focuses on the abuser, the abuser focuses on the victim.
