Thousands of Palestinians are returning to northern Gaza after Israel and Hamas reached an agreement this week to free six hostages.
The Palestinians were due to return last weekend, but were delayed by a row over an Israeli hostage held by Hamas, Arbel Yehud.
On Saturday, Hamas released four soldiers but not Yehud, a civilian, prompting Israel to accuse Hamas of violating the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Yehud and two other hostages are now due to be released on Thursday.
