For the third year, Propublica invites up to 10 news editors from media companies across the country to participate in a year of study in an annual investigation, led by rewards awards.
Applications have now open For the Propublica Editor -in -Chief Program. The works should be on March 24 at 9am east.
As the main in the country is a non -profit investigation of the editorial board, PROPULICA is devoted to journalism that changes the laws and life and promoting the career of the people who produce it. The purpose of this program is to resolve the critical necessity of our industry to expand a number of investigators. Creating a talent pipeline is a priority that serves us and our industry.
“A great editor of the investigation can become a multiplier of the forces for changes; they not only improve history but also journalists better,” said the deputy head of the editor Alexander Zayas, architect of the editor training program. “Unfortunately, this is one of the most difficult jobs. Many who have succeeded have learned from other investigators, so we created this program to schedule these opportunities. We were surprised at how well it worked.”
This year, the program will start in June 2025 from a weekly download camp in New York, which will include courses and panel discussions on how to imagine and produce investigated projects that are detrimental and influenced. Editors will also receive training for journalists who work with data, documents and sensitive sources, including violators, agencies insiders and people who were injured. The program also includes virtual sessions on continuous education and support for the Teacher Propublica.
This program is funded by generosity Family Family Jonathan LoganSupporting organizations in journalism, cinema and art whose work is devoted to social justice and strengthening democracy.
