The broken aircraft dispersed in half in the river descendants, and the boats and divers now looking for people, the US reports.
Three US Army soldiers were aboard the Black Hock Military Helicopter, who collided with the plane, the defense official said.
The helicopter flew from Fort Belvoire in Virginia.
US President Donald Trump said he was “completely informed about a terrible accident.”
“Thank you for the incredible work carried out by our first respondents. I control the situation and will provide more information if they arise,” he said in a statement.
The ascension and landing were stopped at the airport when the ambulance staff responded to the incident and the airport wrote in a report on X.
The Federal Aviation Administration stated that the investigation was being investigated.
