On Saturday, the main page of the CFPB site returned an error, but most of the rest of the site acted as usual.

The best Democrat in the Financial Services Committee Maxim Waters published a statement claiming that the coat “systematically killed CFPB”.

“The Wester Musk from CFPB is a crisis with the five -year period and a terrible violation of the privacy of millions of Americans. Musk can now see personal information of the people who have fooled bad actors, turned to CFPB at the time of despair,” Waters said .

Waters said these data could include bank statements, credit card information, social security numbers and health information.

In a statement, the National Union of Treasury staff, which provides CFPB staff, said Dage’s activity was “potentially dangerous invasion”. The Union said it would continue all ways to protect private consumer data and financial institutions.

On Friday, Musk wrote “CFPB RIP” on his X. Laying X. Posted several times per hour, he repeated allegations of broad crime, fraud and abuse throughout the government and showed that he would try to close the bureau.

Last month, President Trump fired CFPB director Rokhita Chopra, who was appointed President Joe Biden, and established the Treasury Secretary Scott Sevent as head of the agency.

But on Friday, Trump made another switch, giving control of the agency to the recently approved Director of the Radel Management Office and budget.

Vought was the author of the 2025 project, List of offers issued by the Heritage Foundation Foundation – One of which calls to cancel CFPB.

The BBC contacted CFPB, the White House and the DOGE press for comments.
