A TV journalist and a cameraman were attacked by masked men while covering pro-European protests in Georgia.
Reporter Mak Chikhladze of the pro-opposition Pirveli TV was violently knocked to the ground and cameraman Giorgi Shetsyruli was kicked in the head on a side street in the capital, Tbilisi.
They covered the 10th night of massive pro-European protests that took place in several cities. The protests are in response to Georgia’s increasingly authoritarian government suspending the EU accession process.
