Street vendors and volunteers have used social media to help victims of the Los Angeles wildfires.
Jimmy Medina Jr. said the TikTok live stream prompted generous donations that allowed him to purchase groceries and feed people from his hot dog cart.
“Thanks to the power of TikTok, all of our TikTok viewers have been sending us donations… with their donations we can purchase all the ingredients,” said Mr. Medina Jr.
Clothing and other essential items are also being distributed at a donation center set up in the parking lot at Santa Anita Park, Arcadia.
