A team of journalists from non -profit journalistic organizations Invisible Institute and Propublica More than 300 complaints against violations of sexual attacks and violations that have been filed against police officers in Chicago have been considered.
But experts say this is probably insufficient.
We need your help to understand the sphere and scale of this issue. We want to talk to people who have experienced sexual disorders or sexual attacks by Chicago police. For this investigation, we identified sexual violation of the police as sexual abuse, undesirable, inadequate touching or comments, as well as sexual harassment of police officers or service. Researchers and fans say that sexual violations are a “spectrum of behavior”.
This behavior may include but not limited to them:
- Chicago police officer flirted with someone, including their phone number for reasons that are not related to the case or making other inadequate comments during the service
- A police officer in Chicago asks anyone to have sexual services in exchange for that
- A police officer in Chicago, who is sexually assaulted or establishing unwanted physical contact with someone, including if the officer does not work
