A senior campaign official said they see these big events as a way to attract voters and encourage them to vote early and sign up to volunteer for phone banks and door-to-door rounds.

Harris will appear with former first lady Michelle Obama in Michigan on Saturday, campaign officials said.
Obama endorsed Harris in July and both spoke at the Democratic National Convention in August.

Asked about his support of Obama and Springsteen while speaking to reporters in Philadelphia on Thursday, Harris said he was “honored” to have them at his campaign events.
“I’m very happy to have the support of former President Obama. As you know, he’s been campaigning and he’s been really wonderful and extraordinary in terms of the time and effort he puts into our campaign, and people like Bruce. Springsteen, to have their support, and of course he’s an American icon. Harris said. “I think it just shows the breadth and depth of support that we have and also the enthusiasm that so many people bring to the campaign and feel about our campaign.”

In the final days of the race, Harris’ team has recruited celebrities to help share his message and turn out voters at polling times across the country. On Saturday, Harris joined Lizzo in Detroit and Usher in Atlanta, while on Tuesday, Eminem introduced Obama At a rally in Detroit.
Megastar Beyoncé will also join the vice president at a rally for the singer in Houston on Friday.
