Three-division world champion Emmanuel Navarrete defends his WBO featherweight title against Oscar Valdes in the Mexican co-main event on Saturday, December 7 in Phoenix, Arizona, live on Sky Sports.
Also on the bill, WBO world champion Rafael Espinoza puts his crown on the line against Cuban star Robezi Ramirez, who dethroned him to win the title last December.
Navarrete (38-2-1, 31 KOs) has defended this crown twice, including a decision victory over Valdez (32-2, 24 KOs) in their first meeting in August 2023.
Navarrete’s bid to become only the sixth Mexican to win a four-division title fell through in May when he rejected Denis Berinchik for the vacant WBO lightweight title.
Valdez suffered his first professional loss in April 2022 in a high-stakes unification bout against Shakur Stevenson.
The 33-year-old bounced back with a decision win over Adam Lopez in May 2023 ahead of the Navarrete clash.
Martin Valdez won the WBO junior middleweight title with a seventh-round TKO of Liam Wilson.
Espinoza (25-0, 21 KOs) recovered from a fifth-round knockdown to put Ramirez on the canvas in a pivotal 12th round in which “El Divino” dominated by majority decision.
Two-time Olympic gold medalist Ramirez (14-2, 9 KOs) made one defense of the WBO title he won in April 2023 with a unanimous decision over Isaac Dogboe.
“Our first fight was extremely close, action-packed and considered by many to be ‘fight of the year,'” Ramirez said.
“Since reading the cards, my team and I are asking for a rematch. On December 7th, I’m coming to erase all doubts, I’ll take back my title.”
