Baking Soda Armpit Detox: Do They Work?

In an increasingly toxic world, many people are looking for natural solutions and they are simple. Methods of contamination. If you’ve spent any time reading articles online or stalking social media, you’ve probably experienced something called an armpit detox. Baking soda is a common ingredient in these recipes, but does it really do what people say it does?

What is armpit poison?

An Armpit poison It’s like a face mask on the armpits. It is a paste that is applied to the underarm area to remove toxins, chemical residues and odor causing bacteria. Apply the moisturizer and allow it to dry for several minutes, allowing the adhesive to absorb toxins and microbes. Then wash it all and dry it.

People often use underarm masks as part of switching from regular to natural deodorants. They believe that the absence of aluminum and other anti-perspirant chemicals in conventional deodorants and antiperspirants helps the body adjust.

Depending on the ingredients, underarm detox can reduce skin irritation, underarm odor, or excessive sweating while the body adjusts to a toxin-free deodorant.

The armpit patch usually contains natural antiseptic or antibacterial ingredients that draw out toxins and kill bacteria. For example, baking soda, Bentonite clayCornstarch and charcoal all help absorb toxins. Apple cider vinegar and essential oils help with microbial balance.

What are the benefits of baking soda armpit detox?

While not exactly recommended by a dermatologist, armpit wax may offer a few benefits.

  • Reduced armpit odor; Conventional deodorants can leave a residue on the skin, which clogs sweat glands and harbors odor-causing bacteria. Cleansing the skin, balancing pH levels and maintaining bacterial balance can all help reduce odor.
  • A healthy skin microbiome; Using more acidic ingredients in a detox well helps restore the skin’s natural microbiome. Promoting a healthy skin microbiome through the skin care products we use helps maintain a healthy immune system, protecting against toxins.
  • Lower risk of breast cancer; Removing toxins near the lymph nodes can help reduce the risk of cancer while supporting a healthy skin barrier. However, there is no scientific evidence yet that armpit detoxification helps.

Lowering your toxic load by supporting an overall healthy microbiome goes a long way toward creating a healthier body.

How to clean the armpit

The most popular armpit detox recipes call for mixing baking soda and vinegar. Although the chemical reaction (fizzing) looks amazing, mixing the two is not a good idea.

Baking soda Sodium bicarbonate is an alkaline substance. Vinegar is acetic acid, which is clearly acidic. So the acid and base cancel each other out and don’t poison the armpit in any meaningful way.

In fact, baking soda is highly alkaline (around pH 9) and can disrupt the skin’s natural pH balance if overused. (The pH of human skin should be close to 5.0) When the pH is too alkaline, it has a negative effect on the microbiome of the skin, which increases body odor for a while.

If you want to use baking soda in an armpit detox, it’s best to use it separately as an exfoliant. Exfoliation helps remove dead skin. However, it is important to use it only occasionally as it can cause side effects. Baking soda can dry out and irritate sensitive skin, which can do more harm than good.

Do not use any underarm lotion on freshly shaved skin as it can irritate the area. If you are concerned, you can also get a plaster test. Apply baking soda paste on the inside of your arm and leave it for an hour, it will not irritate the skin.

How to get rid of armpit acne effectively

To make armpit poison, first mix the ingredients together and make a paste. A good combination is bentonite clay with water or apple cider vinegar. Apply it on clean and dry armpits and let it sit for 5 to 20 minutes Face mask. After it dries, wash the mixture off in the sink or with a warm, wet washcloth.

It can also be helpful to add certain essential oils to the arm detox. Essential oils are more than fragrances; Many of them are powerful antibacterial agents. Some essential oils to consider are lavender, lemongrass, rosemary, and tea tree oil. When mixing, add a few drops to the paste.

Using lymphatic massage can also help. There are more than 20 lymph nodes in the armpit, and the lymph system does not have a pump to keep it moving. That’s where massage comes in.

After your first armpit detox, it’s time to switch to natural personal care products. You can do your own DIY Household deodorant With coconut oil and other natural products. This one Contains magnesium to help restore balance.

You can find a variety of aluminum-free, paraben-free natural deodorants at your local natural food store. However, it’s important to read the ingredients, as they may contain artificial fragrance, talc, lanolin, or unwanted additives.

The best deodorant for smelly armpits

Most natural deodorants on the market are not very effective. People complain about having to reapply them all day. That’s why I decided to prepare Wellness Mineral deodorant. This deodorant uses natural ingredients that work for underarm odor without adding to your toxic load.

It has coconut oil and shea butter to moisturize and baking soda to absorb odors and toxins. And because it’s pH balanced, it won’t irritate the skin like straight baking soda. The essential oils of zinc ricinolate from castor oil also help fight odor. It also has a soothing palo santo scent. I love using it after the shower or as an underarm scrub!
