Police in Austria issued a European arrest warrant for a woman they believe that they acted as Shaman for the victims of the big money.
Police said they had discovered cash, jewelry and gold worth more than € 10 million (8.3 million pounds) at a woman’s homeland home near Vienna.
They said the suspect-44-year-old Austrian citizen, named only Marianne, who went by the name of the mistletoe.
Her 29-year-old son was arrested and is in custody in Vinner Nostadt.
Police say they believe Mariana M may deceive people in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
Police notes that Mariana m told one of the victims that “a close relative was cursed and that she provided for death. To violate this curse, the accused demanded 730,000 euros for” purification “rituals.
They said that after the victim handed over the money to the accused in several parties, the suspect broke contact. The other woman then reported the victims by phone that the shaman came into a heavy coma.
Franz Pop’s police director in Lower Austria said: “In a world in which many people seek the answers to significant questions of life, the profit established themselves, claiming that they possess supernatural forces.”
“They exploit the trust of their victims in emotional or financial suffering and seek help and support,” he added.
Police appealed to any other victims to contact the Office of the Criminal Investigation of the Lower Austrian State.
