An increasing number of foreign fighters joins the group, enhancing its force in terms of quantity and experience.

It is believed that the main source of recruits IS-Somalia are Ethiopian migrants gathering in the Port Portland city of Bosas in the hope of a maritime transition to a better life abroad.

This offers them a higher payment than they could earn in the Gulf States, and experts say that some senior team commanders are Ethiop.

“We estimate that in this order is 80% and more foreign militants, mainly from North Africa, Ethiopia, Tanzania and the Middle East,” says Mr. Mubarak.

The group is estimated by about 1000 people; The UN monitors put it approximately 600 to 700.

Last October, US team leader in Africa Michael Langle said he thought he had grown in Northern Somalia by “twice a year.

The group staged one of the most difficult attacks in December, hitting a military base in the Barry Puntland region.

The group released a statement stating that there were no Somali. 12 attackers came from seven countries – Tanzania, Algeria, Morocco, Libya, Tunisia, Yemen and Ethiopia.

Movement also became more effective when raising money.

US, UN and Somalia experts say that the bulk of the I – Al -Corpora – founded in Puntland, paying funds and experience in other areas of the group in Africa and beyond.

The US Foreign Asset Control (OTAC) said IS-Somalia raised nearly $ 2 million in the first half of 2022 by taxing local business, import, nomads and farmers.

If Puntland’s forces succeed in leaving the militants, air support will be invaluable.

Shortly after the strike in the United States, Puntland police said the head of the Somalia Somalia’s Attempts Abdihirman Shiria Aw-Said surrendered.

But experts say that such strikes should be consistent to find existing cells in Somalia and stop other mushrooms.

It is unclear whether the United States and its unpredictable leader have the appetite to bomb the northeastern Somalia mountains.

Mary Harper wrote two books about Somalia, including everything you told me is true, a look at life under al-Shabab.
