A 22-year-old professional figure skater who competed in the X Games has been charged with driving his Porsche the wrong way in Manhattan, authorities said.
Kader Sylla was arrested for driving the wrong way on the Lower East Side around 2 a.m. Sunday, according to the NYPD.
Sylla’s blood alcohol content was .063, according to police.
Police said Sylla was “talking, rocking back and forth and his eyes were bloodshot.” Police said Sylla “said essentially and in part, ‘I’ve been drinking.’
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving while impaired.
Sylla was arraigned Monday and released on her own recognizance. His next court date will be January 24.
