We need justice for those who survived with his predators and we need to restore society’s confidence in our institutions.

In his podcast Joe Rogan recently asked Senator Bernie Sanders question This reflects the concern of many Americans today: why should people pay more taxes “incompetent, corrupt government” that lacks responsibility? The truth is that we need to invest more in state education, healthcare programs and creating well -paid jobs. But decades of corruption and the uncontrolled impact of money in politics have caused deep distrust of our institutions.
Overcoming this distrust is one of our greatest problems as a country. If we want to take initiatives such as the 21st Century Marshall Plan for America or Medicare for all, we need people to believe that the government is working on them, not only for the rich and powerful.
To restore trust, we need transparency, accountability and bold agenda for combating corruption. Progressives must lead the way and show Americans that our government can be good and effective.
One place to get started is the call for epstein files. The administration’s refusal to release them is just the last example of how lack of transparency is distrust.
For at least ten years, Jeffrey Epstein and Gislain Maxwell traded and tough with young women and children. There are more than 1000 victimsThe Ministry of Justice reports. In the trial, the criminal cruel treatment of minors claims that over 30 years have covered a criminal cruel treatment of minors. These sacrifices deserve justice, and the public deserves to find out who is involved and who is still protected.
Americans on the left and the right of indignant government inability to completely release this information; 79 percent The public wants the files to be released, and most believe that the government covers the evidence.
Releasing the full Epstein files – simultaneously protecting the privacy and safety of the victims, is a major priority. This is a simple question whether our leaders with America’s children and victims of cruelty or wealthy and powerful guards stand.
That’s why I talked Since 2019 This issue is then supported by the chairman of the Illya Kamings House Supervision Committee in the Epstein death investigation. That is why I am running the current efforts in Congress to release files, first with the adjustment, which was blocked by the Committee on the Rules of the House of Representatives, and now with a two -party bill, headed by the representative of Thomas Mass.
Our account, Act on transparency Epstein fallsRequires the Prosecutor General to release the files within 30 days, providing the victim protection. The release of files should include information about Epstein and Maxwell criminal activities to bring them just to justice.
Congress should look for other evidence that could help shed light on who gave the opportunity to these crimes. I recently sent a letter requesting a copy “Birthday’s book“From the Epstein estate – a collection of letters from friends and associates of Epstein and Maxwell, who could contain evidence of other people who participated in their crimes.
Our first priority must be justice for the victims and their families. When Congress returns in September, I plan to convene those who survived with Epstein and Maxwell’s cruelty on the Capitolian hill to share their stories and urge 218 Congress members to sign a statement that will vote for our two -party bill. Every American see where their Congress member is.
Again, this struggle is also about restoring public trust in our institutions. Only today, 22 percent Americans believe that our leaders will do what is right. The public is tired of leaders who put wealthy donors and special interests over ordinary people.
Release Epstein files are just the beginning of public trust recovery. We need a broad agenda for political reform to clean Washington. This means evading the influence of money on politics and struggle Cancel super pacs. It also means struggle for the working class, including for the further development of Medicare for all, free education of the State College and an increase in minimum wages.
We also have to resist the Voices of BelTvey, who are trying to make it a guerrilla fight. It’s not about winning the elections or scoring political points. We build a coalition of Americans from all over the political spectrum, which are united by the protection of America’s children, introducing corruption and ensuring that no one is higher than the law.
The survivors of Epstein and Maxwell’s abuse waited too long. On the first day, the Congress should come together in the session to sign the dismissal petition and force our bill to show the American peoples we stand on the side of justice and transparency.

Our party and the political system as a whole require revival. Our government must put ordinary people over the donor class. We need to reject the system that protects the wealthy and protects them from accountability. This is how we build a stronger democracy where everyone can live with safety and dignity.
At this point, the crisis we need the only, progressive opposition to Donald Trump.
We begin to see how we start to develop on the streets and ballots all over the country: from the Candide company in Mary’s New York Mammani, focused on accessibility, community that protect their neighbors from ice, to senators who oppose weapons.
The Democratic Party has an urgent choice: will it accept a policy that is fundamental and popular, or will continue to insist on the loss of elections with the elites and consultants who brought us here?
