Why sir Salman threatened with death?
For many years, the author was the goal of a threat to his life after he published his novel “Satanic Poems” in 1988.
Surrealist, postmodern novel was inspired by the life of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. This caused indignation among some Muslims who considered its content blasphemy and was banned in some countries.
The threats made Sir Salman hide for nine years, and he often traveled with security details in fear for his life.
But in recent years, the 77-year-old author said he believed that threats against him had fallen. Two weeks before the attack, he told the German magazine that he feels that his life is “relatively normal”.

In the Islamic world, many Muslims responded with furiously to the publication of the book, and the death threats were made against Salman.

Dozens of people were killed in a protest rally on the occasion of the novel, and others, including the Japanese translator of the book, were killed after the fat.
The adventure over Salman’s head remains active, and although the Iran’s government departed from Khomeini’s decrees, the Quasi-Environmental Religious Fund added another $ 500,000 to the 2012 award.
