In our modern American diet, we are told that salt is bad and should be avoided at all costs. But the fact is that it is not a villain that is often made! It turned out to be correct It is very useful for our body. There is some old evidence that eating the right kind of salt (unrefined and unrefined) every day is very beneficial to our health. This is why I love making solo water!
as if Increase the amount of saltThey provide the key electrolytes your body needs to help it function smoothly. Although eating salt is great, sometimes I find it hard to get enough in my food without it tasting too salty.
If you need a boost of hydration and electrolytes to support your health and well-being, try only water! It is easy to make and requires only two ingredients.
What is single water?
Sol (pronounced so-lay) is water that is completely saturated with unknown salts. Often made with pink Himalayan salt, this concentrated salt water is a great way to increase electrolytes.
Many people add salt to their water for its health benefits. Drinking plain water is not the same as drinking salt water. It’s water that has taken up the bulk of the salt (26% actually….thanks, high school chemistry!). Think of sea water and that is the same as Sol.
While it’s a good practice to drink salt in your water, Sol gives you extra electrolytes. We lose electrolytes when we sweat or fast. It provides sodium in close proportion to magnesium, calcium, iron and potassium, making it a great way to replenish these minerals.
The type of salt you use is key! Regular table salt will work in excess. Manufacturing removes many valuable minerals. Factories often purify and add chemicals to prevent salt build-up. You’ll need natural, unprocessed salt (Himalayan, Raymond, or Celtic sea salt) to make solo.
Why do you drink single water?
Health experts have told us for years that salt can be harmful, so drinking salt water may seem counterintuitive. However, several studies have shown that drinking seawater (as well as brackish water) has various health-promoting benefits. Some countries used it exclusively for centuries. I only drink water every day, but especially when I’m active (And sweat!) or when I am fasting..
It’s worth noting that common advice for many of these problems involves eliminating excess salt from the diet. Salt can definitely have a negative effect and is best avoided. However, natural salt is rarely processed and contains trace minerals that are not found in table salt. Natural salt is incredibly nutritious for the body.
The only benefits of water
- Hydration helps – Our body is made of salt water. During sleep, the body naturally repairs and rejuvenates. A good amount of water is used in the process. Consuming it first thing in the morning helps the body rehydrate.
- It helps to detoxify the body – People have used salt for centuries Keeping food. It is also used as an anti-inflammatory mouthwash. Because of its antibacterial properties, salted water is beneficial for the body’s natural detoxification.
- Improves sleep – Research shows that a diet low in sodium can disrupt sleep. A single addition to your daily routine will increase sodium and other mineral levels that help you sleep.
- Increases energy – The minerals in the sole help to increase energy throughout the day. A 2019 study found that people with higher sodium intake had more energy.
- It improves digestion – In 2020, a randomized control group found that drinking salt water stimulates the digestive system. This promotes digestion and relieves constipation naturally.
- It controls the heart rate – A low-sodium diet can disrupt the heart’s electrical signals, increasing the risk of irregular heartbeats, or arrhythmias.
- Improves blood sugar – Research shows that a high-salt diet increases insulin resistance, and a high-salt diet increases insulin resistance. Some people notice an improvement in blood sugar levels after using it alone.
- A natural antihistamine – Salt is a powerful natural antihistamine. This action may be due to the balancing effect on the body, and I personally noticed this.
- It relieves muscle tension – Because I drink Solene regularly and use magnesium, I don’t get leg cramps after intense exercise or during pregnancy. In the year A 2022 review of 8 studies on the use of salt water showed faster recovery after exercise as well as improved performance.
- Weight loss – It helps to promote digestion and absorption of nutrients and increase hydration Weight loss.
Sol is an inexpensive addition to a healthy diet and lifestyle, and incredibly easy to make.
How do I do Sol?
As sol is simply salt and water, the quality of the salt is extremely important. While it’s typically made with pink Himalayan salt, you can also use Redmond salt or Celtic sea salt. These unprocessed natural salts all contain approximately the same amount of trace minerals such as magnesium and potassium.
Ayurvedic practices often use Himalayan salt to balance the body’s doshas (energies). You want to make sure you use unprocessed, natural salt.
I like to use mostly Himalayan salt, with a little Redmond salt or Celtic salt added. Redmond salt has the mildest tasting salt of the three, so if you’re new to single water, this is the easiest to start with.
Only water recipe
Only water is filled with natural salt minerals. Good for digestive health, leg cramps, dehydration, sleep and more.
-
Fill the glass jar about ¼ full with Himalayan salt, Celtic sea salt, or real salt, or a mixture of all three.
-
Add distilled water to fill the pot, leaving about an inch at the top.
-
Put on a plastic lid and shake the jar gently.
-
Leave it on the counter overnight to allow the salt to dissolve.
-
The next day, if there is a little salt on the bottom of the jar, the water has absorbed the maximum amount of salt, and the single is ready to use.
-
If all the salt is absorbed, add more salt and continue to do this every day until some is left at the bottom. This means that the water is completely saturated with salt.

After preparing the mixture, keep it at room temperature. Salt is naturally anti-bacterial and anti-fungal so it will last indefinitely. Add more water and salt as needed to maintain the volume in the bottle. After letting it sit overnight in the bottom of the jar, just check for salt crystals. That means the water has completely absorbed the salt. If there are no more crystals, add more salt and leave overnight again.
To drink, add 1/2 – 1 teaspoon to a glass of water Every morning And drink on an empty stomach. Don’t add more, especially when you first start! If this causes allergic reactions or headaches, do it slowly. You can also try adding lemon to your water to make it sweeter.
The only side effects of water
At first, it can make you nauseous. If that’s the case, try starting small. Although it works best on an empty stomach, you can add 1/2 – 1 teaspoon to 32 ounces of water and drink it in the morning.
Sol can irritate the stomach or cause diarrhea. If this happens, stop taking it for a few days until the symptoms go away. If you want to try again, start slowly and work your way up.
Who can drink Sol?
If you have kidney stones or disease, or high blood pressure, water alone may not be good. Common advice says that adding more salt to your diet in these conditions can make it worse. However, there is Some evidence It is another. If you experience these conditions, consult your natural health care professional before using it alone.
