In Austria, who died a 14-year-old boy and suffered five more people, there was an Islamist attack, the country’s interior minister said.

The attack took place on Saturday in the vilakh, the town near the border with Italy and Slovenia.

A 23-year-old Syrian shelter viewer was detained at the scene.

Interior Minister Gerhard Carner said the attack was linked to the Islamic State group, and the suspect was radicalized on the Internet “in a very short period of time”.

Earlier, the authorities stated that he had a temporary residence permit and expected a decision on a statement on asylum.

Speaking at a press conference on Sunday, Corner said it was an “Islamist attack, and these attacker links, which, according to the investigation, was obviously radicalized on the Internet over the very short period of time.

“Thus, those who are responsible, the police, the authorities, must draw the necessary conclusions.”

The attack took place around 4:00 pm local time (15:00 GMT) near the city’s main square.

Two of the five victims were in a serious condition on Saturday night.

Police said the delivery officer, also a Syrian man who was driving his car in the attacker.

The attack is against the background of the national discussion on the laws on asylum and elections last year, which first appeared the last right -wing party of Liberty.

The party failed to form a coalition government, leaving Austrian president Alexander van der Bellen, who weighs whether the election can be called, to form a minority government or to invite other parties or a group of experts to try to form the administration.

Herbert Kick, the head of the Freedom Party, became interested in the vilach attack, saying on Saturday that Austria requires “strict asylum”.
