The US Postal Service (USPS) states that the parcels from mainland China and Hong Kong have stopped temporarily.
The letters will not be affected by the suspension, the statement on the company’s website said.
It states that the suspension will be on the spot “until further notice” and did not offer any explanation of the decision.
USPS did not immediately respond to the BBC News request about the comment.
