An upcoming benefit concert for the victims of the Los Angeles wildfires is going to be exciting, engaging and will raise tons of money… and big-name artists and bands are clamoring for a chance to help.
TMZ has learned … there’s been interest from musicians wanting to get involved … so much so that organizers are expanding the scope of the event.
We’re told more than 50 artists and bands have applied… and there are only 24 spots available right now… though organizers are trying to add spots to match the overwhelming response.
The benefit concert, called FireAid, was first announced to be held at the new Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA… but our sources say it will also be held at The Forum, which is just down the street is this becoming?
We’re told the performances will also be streamed live.
The full lineup is still being finalized, and we don’t have any names at this time… but we’re told all the performers are based in Los Angeles.
We know Taylor Swift and: Beyonce — two of music’s biggest acts — won’t be involved … but that’s only fair, considering they’re not actually rooted in Los Angeles, despite having homes here.
There is a huge pool to draw from and this gig is going to be HUGE… and it will help a lot of people starting from scratch.

Thousands of people were displaced by the Palisades and Eaton Fires, and Los Angeles is now tasked with rebuilding more than 12,000 buildings lost in the inferno.
People have lost their homes, their businesses, their cars, and basically all of their possessions in the fire…and the recovery effort will be enormous.
So will this benefit concert.
Stay tuned!!!
