Luigi Mangione left a glowing Goodreads review Ted KaczynskiThe ‘Unabomber Manifesto’ and the possibility that it inspired Mangione’s alleged assassination of the CEO of UnitedHealthcare Brian Thompson it is heartbreaking, says the brother of the deceased criminal.
David Kaczynski tells TMZ that a friend told her yesterday that Mangione read the Manifesto … and it breaks her heart to know that her brother could be seen as a role model for acceptable violent behavior.
“It breaks my heart to know that human motivation is very complex, but somehow my brother can be seen as a model of acceptable, violent behavior. And, in my opinion, there is no such thing,” she says.
He explains to us that people shouldn’t blur the lines between his brother Ted’s ideas in the manifesto, which he says don’t necessarily lead to violence, and his “despicable, offensive actions” which he says could lead to copycats.
David reminds us that acts of violence can be contagious, adding that if we spread love and kindness, it can do wonders. But if we hurt others, it has the opposite effect, a very negative one.
