Separately, the governor of the Smolensk region, Vasily Anokhin, said in the telegram that a “massive” attack of drones against the “civil infrastructure” took place in his region, although the victims were not immediately reported.
Anokhin said one of the drones was beaten when trying to hit atomic energy. BBC failed to check this information on its own.
The mother and her baby were killed in the Belgorad border region, which has been subjected to frequent attacks from Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full -scale invasion of Russia in February 2022.
