Reporting from Kyiv

US President Donald Trump said he was “prolonged and high -performance” on Wednesday with Vladimir Putin, in which the leaders agreed to start negotiations on the war in Ukraine.
In a report on his social platform, Trump stated that he and the Russian president “agreed that our teams would immediately start negotiations” and invited each other to visit the relevant capitals.
Later, the President of Ukrainian Volodimir Zelensky stated that he also talked to Trump about a “solid, reliable world”.
Calls with both warring parties came when Trump and his Defense Minister stated that it was unlikely to join NATO, which would become a bitter disappointment for Kiev.
Zelensky said he would meet Vice President J. D. Vens and Secretary of State Mark Rubio during the Ukraine’s defense summit in Munich on Friday.
Trump wrote on social media: “It is time to stop this ridiculous war where massive and completely unnecessary, death and destruction. God forbid that people are Russia and Ukraine!”
He did not determine his face with Putin’s face, but later told reporters at the White House: “We will meet in Saudi Arabia.”
Kremlin’s press -secretary Dmitry Pesko said Putin supported Trump’s idea that time had come together.
The phone call between Putin and Trump lasted almost an hour and a half, during which the Russian president continued to invite Moscow, Pesko said.
Trump also told reporters at the White House that it is unlikely that Ukraine would return to its borders by 2014, but in response to the BBC question, “Some of these lands will return.”
The president said he agreed with his Defense Minister Pitt Hugset, who said at the NATO summit on Thursday that there was no possibility of Ukraine joining the military alliance.
“I think it’s probably true,” Trump said.
Hegers’ speech would be a kyiv blow.
Although it has long been known that the US news administration was less sympathetic than its predecessor of Ukraine, every statement of Hegers is most likely only satisfied with Moscow.
The refusal to NATO membership, the opinion that Ukraine cannot overcome ambiguity about how the frozen front line in the future is all difficult for sensitive profitability for Russia’s 11 -year aggression to Ukraine.
Zelensky has repeatedly claimed that “without Ukraine without Ukraine”, but Trump’s phone call came in his absence.
Zelensky stated that his call with Trump was a “meaningful conversation” about various issues, and that he also met the secretary of the Treasury of the United States Scott, who was visiting Kiev.
“Nobody wants peace more than Ukraine. Together with the US, we make the following steps to stop Russian aggression and provide a solid, reliable peace,” Zelensky wrote. “
The Ukrainian leader added: “We agreed to maintain further contacts and plan future meetings.”
The call between the US and Ukrainian leaders lasted an hour, AFP reports.
In Interview with The Guardian Posted on Tuesday, Zelensky suggested that the Russian territory in Ukraine could be replaced by Ukraine in the Russian region of Kursk as part of a peaceful deal.
He also insisted that the US, not just European countries, should be part of any security package for its country.
“Safety guarantees without America are not real security guarantees,” he said.

In March 2014, Russia annexed the Black Sea Peninsula from Ukraine, and then supported pro -Russian separatists in an armed uprising against Kiev forces in eastern Ukraine.
After many years of clashes and tensions between the two countries, the conflict invaded the universal war when Russia broke into Ukraine in February 2022.
Moscow’s attempts to take control of the capital were thwarted, but the Russian forces took a fifth of Ukraine in the east and south, and carried out air strikes across the country.
Ukraine avenged the drones and the offensive in the Russian region of Kursk.
It is difficult to come from the secrecy of both Russian and Ukrainian governments, but it is estimated that hundreds of thousands of troops and civilians were killed or injured.
