No details of this Agreement were distributed on the bilateral Friday, and Nippon has long emphasized its plans to invest in the company.

Trump – which mistakenly called the “Nissan”, – said he would meet Nippon’s head next week to “mediate and arbitration.”

Faced with political pressure, Biden’s administration blocked the purchase on the grounds that the domestic property was important.

The Japanese government called Biden’s decision “incomprehensible” Both Nippon and US Steel ended the lawsuit.

Most recently, Nippon claimed that the purchase would be “in accordance with” Trump’s emphasis on production, job creation and investment promotion.

Ishiba Prime Minister was in Washington to secure the country’s main foreign partner.

Both the US and Japanese officials stated that the main purpose of the visit was to establish personal relations with Trump – which had a warm relationship with the former Prime Minister Shinzo both during their first term.

The visit notes the first Asian leader of the White House since the Trump’s second administration began in January.

This is the second foreign leader during the new administration, after the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu this week.

“He is very scared on television,” Trump’s journalists said at a joint press conference on Friday.

“But when I met him, he was very sincere. And very powerful. And very strong will.”

During the first term Trump, since 2017-21, he grew up approaching the shins both, connecting the golf. Both resigned in 2020 and was killed two years later.

Japanese officials said Isaib made “all possible preparations” for a meeting with Trump, including the advice in the widow – who were present at the inauguration as a guest of Melania Trump – and from his predecessor Fumiy Kyyhaid.

ISIB also emphasized Japan’s role as a major economic partner for the US and emphasized that Japan has been a major foreign investor in the United States for five consecutive years.

Among the multinational firms, Japanese companies are the largest job creators in 10 states and the second largest in six.

Kentucky alone has more than 45,000 people in Japanese companies, primarily in the production of automotive equipment.

Earlier on this day, Trump said, while tariffs against Japan may still be possible, he believes that the US trade deficit in the United States could be resolved and will be “very simple” for Japan.

“We have a fantastic relationship,” he said. I don’t think we will have problems. They also want justice. “

Asked about the possibility of US tariffs – and the counter -tariffs – ISIB refused to provide details.

“I can’t answer the theoretical question,” he said, causing Trump’s laughter and journalists in the room. “This is the official answer we have.”
