Former Rep. Matt Gaetz on the same day he considered As President-elect Donald Trump’s attorney general, Trump announced that he will choose the former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi to fulfill that role in her administration.
Bondi, 59, has been in Trump’s inner circle for years and has continued to advise on legal matters. He was also one of the lawyers who defended Trump in his first impeachment trial.

“I’ve known Pam for many years — she’s smart and tough, and an AMERICA FIRST Fighter who will do a great job as Attorney General!” Trump said in a Truth Social post.
Bondi’s nomination must be confirmed by the Senate.
