The husband, father and union worker from Maryland risk uncertain imprisonment in Uganda to defend those who cannot resist themselves.

BAntimor—So Monday at 6:30 AmHundreds of people gathered outside the icy field in Baltimore to be there with Kilmar Abreg Garcia and his family when he entered the building to face almost a certain federal detention. The headlines say that Abreg Garcia is likely to be “deported”, but this is not the way it should be called. Trump’s administration is trying to steal Abreg Garcia as part of the human trafficking operation, in which she pays countries with severe human rights reports to get rid of people who were immigrants in the US. He wants to send Abreg Garcia – born in Salvador, who lives in the Hills temples, Maryland –to Uganda, Where he could be imprisoned indefinitely, to torture, and God knows what else.
The “crime” of Abreg Garcia, we need to remember, was not a crime at all. Trump’s Justice Department acknowledged in court that he was imprisoned and sent to Salvadoran’s slaves because of an “administrative mistake”. The judge was delighted, especially in the fact that Abreg Garcia – a legally trade union worker in the United States – was sent to the El Salvador without the proper process, and the judge insisted that he would return to his family. It was March, and Abreg Garcia has been in hell since then. Abreg Garcia does not suffer from all he did. It suffers because the autocratic forecast of Trump’s regime is determined by the idea that it cannot be mistaken. The great leader, and, expanding his slave devotee, must be unmistakable. Therefore, in the case of Abreg Garcia, a man who fired the Ministry of Justice acknowledged this in court. Think: Trump’s administration fired a prosecutor of the Ministry of Justice for not liably the judge.

The case of the regime is a marriage between lazy incompetence and legal barbarism. First, it said that Abreg Garcia was in Gang MS-13 because he was a fan of Chicago Bulls. When this argument collapsed, he claimed that Abreg Garcia was trafficking in human beings. . Then the prosecution managed the undocumented people on state lines. That’s what uganda earns you. The point in normalization of cruelty is a Nativist white nationalism. If they can normalize the discourse, as the bald 31-year-old “Trump leader” Charlie Kirk, who called black and brown people living in the “cockroaches” cities to support Chicago’s military occupation, the battle was mostly won. In the conditions of this army, the cowards is Kilmar Abreg Garcia. Trump’s administration offered Abreg Garcia a deal when it could be deported to Costa Rica with a promise not to serve in prison. He said “no” and risked everyone – non -exuseling in Uganda! – To intercede for those who cannot resist themselves. This is especially keen because the judge released it only four days ago to wait for the ICE sentence. After a few months in prison, Salvadoran slave-losa and Tennessee Center, Abreg Garcia spent four days with his wife and children before they were taken away again. This judge actually kept Tennessee in prison to miss his ice. It was a legal guardian against its own illegal government.
Before entering the court building announced by the family, its union, local politicians and hundreds of community members, Abreg Garcia addressed the crowd: “Thanks my wife Jennifer, my family, my union, GoatMy house is away from home and all of you. You filled me with gratitude and you filled me with hope. Happiness is just being with my family. When I was detained, I thought to go to the park with my family or the trampoline with my children. These moments give me hope in this struggle. For all families that were divided or threatened by separation, this administration gave us a mental pain. But God with us will never leave us and bring justice. With our community next to our love will be triumph. Never lose hope. We are all family. No matter what happens at my ICE registration, please promise that you will still pray, resist, fight, love and continue to demand freedom.“
Obreg Garcia then entered the building, which was secured by his lawyer and family. Meanwhile, the icy agents of self -proclaim looked down from the top of the stairs on the crowds of people. It took a long time before the word that had happened: the authoritarian, poorly -minded administration, fossilized on the form of the weak, put Abreg Garcia in the chains.
They want to send Kilmar Abreg Garcia to Uganda for no reason, except that he threatens their nativist project to treat him as a person, not a “cockroach”. May the last word go to the wife of Abreg Garcia, Jennifer Vaskes Sura, who accompanied him to the object. The camera was clearly chosen by a mocking ice brigade. They were all white, called and so bulky that their muscles swallowed their neck. Vasquez Sura looked at these men twice and said, “Tonight, if you look at your family or look at your children, think about what you stole my husband today and took him away from us.”
These shameful writers would not meet her eyes without showing the heart and spine to go with a deficiency. Vasquez Sura showed us true courage. Now our turn. We need to fight the Trump trafficking scheme, because Abreg Garcia and for all people in our communities that can be forcibly put on the plane and send to an undisclosed place.
At this point, the crisis we need the only, progressive opposition to Donald Trump.
We begin to see how we start to develop on the streets and ballots all over the country: from the Candide company in Mary’s New York Mammani, focused on accessibility, community that protect their neighbors from ice, to senators who oppose weapons.
The Democratic Party has an urgent choice: will it accept a policy that is fundamental and popular, or will continue to insist on the loss of elections with the elites and consultants who brought us here?
