The two former ABC News anchors talked about the viral moment on their show “Amy & TJ” in an episode titled “Does This Fire Make Me Look Fat?”
Holmes & Robach is taking a few shots at the move … arguing that it would certainly be insensitive to the many people who lost homes in the Pacific Palisades wildfires and other fires in the Los Angeles area.

However, TJ and Amy don’t blame Muir for the move, noting that during a live shoot, the host is with the producer and wardrobe, generally… and when it’s not live and on air, adjustments are made. .
Sometimes the anchor does not even look up and does not pay attention to what is happening around, if they are talking on the phone and receive new information, they say that: just got laid on him.
Holmes praised Muir as one of the hardest working guys in news … and clearly, he has a lot of respect for the star.
Amy notes that when she hit the road for reports, she made an effort not to look TOO glamorous… for fear of upsetting someone in a real tragedy by seeming overly concerned with her appearance.
As we told you… Muir appeared on air on January 8th in costume, but on January 9th he cut the pin completely, allowing the jacket to fall naturally.
Moral of the story … TJ and Amy don’t blame David for his wardrobe, but regardless, optics are important.
