Three colleagues of Mr. Rubiales are also judged, accused of conspiracy in the alleged compulsion: Jorge Wild, a coach who won the World Cup, Ruben River, former head of the Marketing Federation, and former sports director Albert Luke. They all deny the allegations.
On Wednesday, the court heard that Mr. Wild talked to Rafael Germass, Brother Jenny Hermas – during the flight back to Spain, telling him that Mr. Rubioles feared his position, local Spanish media reported.
Mr. Wild asked him to talk to his sister about making a video from Mrs. Rubiales, who would humiliate the kiss.
The coach warned that his sister could face “professional and personal consequences” if she did not cooperate, said Rafael Germass.
Speaking in court on Monday, Mrs. Germas said that she and the then president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation hugged and noted at a football event, saying that he then grabbed her “on his ears and kiss (ed).”
“I didn’t hear or understand anything,” she said, adding that “the kiss on the lips is given only when I decide.”
The footballer said he feels “a completely abandoned federation.”
Prosecutors urge Mr. Rubiales to get an annual prison sentence for a kiss. They also urge him to receive punishment for a year and a half for coercion, for allegedly trying to put pressure on the MS Germass, publicly speaking that the kiss was consensus. Rubiales denies allegations.
The court continues.
