Sophia Bush is feeling a little less festive this holiday season after an early-morning burglary at his Los Angeles home … TMZ has learned.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … the incident happened last week when an intruder entered the garage of Sofia’s residence, taking just one item before taking off.
In a scene from How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the cops say the thief only got a $36 book… but we’re told it was a holiday gift Sophia planned to give.
We’re told an employee came to Sophia’s property later that morning, saw the garage open, checked the security tape and saw someone break in. Police were called and viewed the footage.
The LAPD took a report of the burglary and has footage…so far no arrests have been made.
Our sources tell us that Sofia, who recently started dating the former soccer star Ashlyn Harris — was home at the time of the burglary but was asleep during the break-in.
Sofia is the latest celebrity to join a long growing list of celebrities who have been targeted by thieves in the past few months.
Bush has yet to publicly comment on the incident.
