Jason Oppenheim says Los Angeles landlords are selling off into the sunset … calling them out for price hikes amid devastating Los Angeles wildfires.
The reality TV boss was interviewed on BBC One’s ‘Sunday With Laura Kuensberg’… and he told how he sent a customer to a landlord in Los Angeles who tried to overcharge them.
Oppenheim swears this landlord originally tried to rent the place for $13,000 a month…but when his client went and offered $20,000 after the fires started, the landlord asked for $23,000, 100% over the original asking price. : .
Jason says: “California has price gouging laws, they’re just being ignored right now, and now is not the time to take advantage of situations.”

JO says everyone is crying because of the destruction in Los Angeles…some because of the smoke from the fires and others because of the emotional toll of this disaster.
Officials in Los Angeles, including the Sheriff Robert Luna and the Los Angeles police chief Jim McDonnell — have warned citizens about potential scammers … saying tragedy can bring out the worst in humanity, so be vigilant.
In total, the Los Angeles wildfires have burned more than 40,000 acres … and killed at least 16. Many have lost their homes in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood, Malibu, West Los Angeles and the Pasadena area in northeast Los Angeles.
And Jason seems worried that they could lose a lot more if someone doesn’t step in to regulate the rising prices.
