Another lawsuit filed Monday involves allegations by a woman who claims Mr. Combs raped her in a hotel room in 2004 when she was a 19-year-old college student.
According to the lawsuit, she met the music mogul at a photo shoot where he invited her and a friend to a private party at his hotel. Once they arrived, the lawsuit alleges, Mr. Combs “grossed, molested and eventually raped her,” despite her repeated pleas for him to stop.
Texas attorney Tony Busby, who is representing the accusers, said he represents more than 100 people who plan to sue the rapper over allegations of sexual assault, rape and sexual exploitation.
Mr Busby said the alleged victims included children. He said the lawsuits are being filed under the Gender-Based Violence Victims Protection Act, which allows victims to file old lawsuits.
“We will let the allegations in the complaints filed speak for themselves and will work to see that justice is served,” Mr. Buzby said in a statement after Monday’s filing of the lawsuits.
“We expect to file many more cases over the next several weeks naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare our filings.”
Mr Combs and his legal team have not responded to the latest allegations.
The lawsuits are the latest of more than a dozen that have been filed against Mr. Combs recently, accusing the music mogul of assault, battery and sexual harassment.
He faces federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Last week, a judge tentatively scheduled his trial to begin on May 5, 2025.
Mr. Combs was detained in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York after the arrest on September 16. His lawyers argued for his release pending trial, citing “appalling” prison conditions.
A federal judge in New York denied their request for bail, saying Mr. Combs was a “serious flight risk.”
