SaltDrop Founder Dino Malvone Shares Easy Ways to Stay Fit and Motivated During the Holidays

Keep moving. A drop of salt Founder Dino Malvone sat down with ET to share his simple tips for staying active during the busy holiday season.

“Holidays are magical, but they can also be overwhelming. Movement is like hitting the reset button. It gives you a chance to clear your mind and reconnect with yourself when life is chaotic,” she explains.

And if ending a full-on fitness regimen seems like too much, Malvone thinks now is not the time to do it.

“Be flexible and leave it all or nothing. You don’t need a gym or an entire hour to get a great workout. A little movement goes a long way toward keeping your energy up,” she notes.

Some ways to do this: “A quick bodyweight jog, a walk, or a single SaltDrop stretch can make a big difference. The key is to stay consistent, even if it means moving for just 10 minutes.”

When it comes to following a healthy diet, a fitness instructor takes the same approach.

“Instead of restricting yourself, focus on adding balance to your day. Start your morning with something nutritious. It’s easier to enjoy holiday treats without feeling like you’ve overdone it.”

Malvonne even reminds herself of this flexible mindset when she sets her New Year’s resolutions.

“Let your goals evolve with you. Fitness and health aren’t static, they’re tools to help you feel good about yourself. Keep checking in with yourself and adjusting as needed,” she says.

As for her own habits, “I’m really restorative and mindful, like somatic stretching, breathing, and mobility. They’re not only good for your body, but also for your nervous system.”
