Joe Rogan experience
Quentin TarantinoHe’s got a lot more than just the Hateful Eight coming after him… he’s got an entire army of rabid fans bashing him because he’s targeting Yellowstone.
Here’s the deal… On the latest episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Tarantino talked about watching the hit Western TV show, explaining that he loves the genre and that the show gave him a chance.
But after watching a few seasons, QT says he was forced to while watching the show … but when he wasn’t in front of the screen, he realized the show was just a soap opera.
Hear Tarantino explain it for yourself… saying they created the character and then you get caught up in the minutiae of the characters, not the overall product.
Tarantino says the difference between a great movie is that he’ll never forget the characters or the story…whereas some of that is lost when watching a show like Yellowstone.
Quentin says there’s no payoff with the show like there is in the movies… and that makes the show a soap.

As you can imagine, die-hard fans of the show didn’t appreciate Quentin’s “dismissal attitude”…many applauded the writer/director online, with some even wondering if there’s anything he loves outside of his movies.
Tarantino has ventured into the western genre several times in his career…his films The Hateful 8 and Django Unchained quickly became fan favorites.
Quentin better hope he doesn’t run into any Yellowstone stockpiles in the town square, though, unless he’s ready to draw guns in the afternoon.
