On Tuesday, Propublica announced that Chris Alcantar joined the graphic team as an editor of the graphics. Alcantara will develop, develop and build schedules, maps, data visualization and visual stories in this role.
Alcantar comes to PROPBLICA from the Washington Post, where he was a reporter of graphics for almost 10 years and published ambitious data visualizations and interactives that covered a number of national and world news. It also built reports and programs that helped collect and analyze the data, as well as head the production of data pipelines for presidential and intermediate elections and the Olympic Games.
Before publishing Alcantar, the news developer at Miami Herald, where he created interactive stories and graphics managed data, within the framework of the three people, and introduced the data reported by the newspaper’s investigation team.
