New Investigative Cooperation with Frontline and Propublica explores the transnational online network of extremists who are accused of inciting white supreme terrorism on Telegram messaging platform. They called themselves terrorism – and called them the Terragram Collective Management.
From the award -held team led by journalists AC Thompson and James Bandler And famous directors Thomas Jenings and Annie Wong, “climbing and falling terrorism” continue to report on tough extremism and Internet radicalization from propublica and Frontline.
“The weather on the grass of archival messages, our report shows how telegram and other slightly adjustable platforms have become a gathering place for” accelerators of militant “-neo-Nazis who want to use terror and violence to knock down governments and create new, white ethnic stories,” says Thompson, which reports the US.
“These people in addition to messaging and social media Telegram tried to shake other people to commit acts of incredible violence and ignite racing war,” Bandler says. “What we saw in the history of terrorism is what the consequences for unhindered free speech are to influence violence or massacres.”
Telegram said in statement that he always views messages for problem content and “calls for violence from any group are not allowed on our platform.”
The “climbing and fall of terrorism” is also carried out by the authorities in a number of countries eventually arrested about a dozen people who are allegedly related to the team of terrorism.
“Are these arrests for the end of terrorism? You may have a collapse on this particular network, but this is the end? Absolutely no,” says sociologist Pete Simi in a documentary. “There will be new terrorisms that take up their place on another name, and we will continue to see such extremism, which spread through platforms of different species, not just on the telegram.”
