Palestinians and Arab states reject Trump’s Gaza takeover plan

However, the Palestinian leadership condemned the plan in a statement issued on Wednesday.

“These calls are a serious violation of international law,” said President Abbas, adding that “peace and stability will not be achieved in the region without the creation of a Palestinian state.”

Abbas heads Hamas rival Fatah and manages the parts of the western shore of the Israeli western shore.

He stated that the Palestinians would not “abandon their land, rights and sacred monuments” and that “Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestine state, as well as the western shore and eastern Jerusalem.”

Hamas – which is provided as a terrorist organization Israel, the US, the United Kingdom and other countries, “said Trump” seeking the US to occupy a gas lane. “

He warned that his proposal is “aggressive to our people and the reason would not serve stability in the region and only put oil on fire.”

Palestinians in Gaza also stated that the plan was completely excluded.

“We have survived almost a year and a half of the bombings and destruction, but we remain in the newspaper,” said one person by BBC.

“We would like to die in the gas than to leave it. We will stay here until we rebuild it. Trump can do the way he likes, but we firmly reject his decisions.”

According to international legislation, attempts to forcibly transfer the population are strictly prohibited.

The Palestinians are also afraid to repeat the “Nakbu” or “disaster” when hundreds of thousands fled or expelled from their homes during the war, which followed the creation of the state of Israel in 1948.

Many of these refugees were in Gaza, where they and their descendants make three quarters of the population. Another 900,000 registered refugees live on the Western Bank, which Israel held in the War in the Middle East 1967, and 3.4 million others live in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon, the UN reports.

Israel unilaterally withdrew his troops and settlers from Gaza in 2005, although it retained control over the common border, airspace and shoreline, giving it effective control over the movement of people and goods. The UN is still considering gas as Israeli due to Israeli control level.

The Saudi Foreign Ministry said the kingdom “unambiguously rejected” Trump’s proposal on the post -war gas and once again emphasized that it would continue its efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state and “without establishing diplomatic relations with Israel without it.”

“The achievement of a lasting and simply peace is impossible, without the Palestinian people who receive its legal rights,” he added.

After talking to Cairo, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatti said he agreed with the Prime Minister of the Palestinian Administration Mohammed Mustafa “The importance of moving forward with the early recovery projects … without Palestinians leaving the lane, especially with a commitment to his land and refusing to leave It’s. “

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said the relocation of the Palestinians from Gaza in any form was “unacceptable”, adding: “It is inappropriate to consider.”

Western governments also expressed anxiety about any forced movement.

The French Foreign Ministry stated that “it will be a serious violation of international law, attacks on the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinians, but also the main obstacle to the two -state decision and the main destabilizing factor for our close Egyptian partners and Jordan, as well as, as well as Jordan as well as for the whole region. “

UK Foreign Minister David Lami said: “We have always understood that we should look for two states. We must see the Palestinians who can live and thrive in the Motherland, in Gaza, on the West Bank.”
