In his statement, Mr. Batt said he regretted taking the cub and acknowledged that “preserving wild animals in such circumstances is inappropriate.”
“As an impact on social media, I have to create positive content. I was not allowed to keep Leo Cub, and, doing so, I gave the wrong example,” he added.
The court also ordered the wildlife department to help Mr. Batu produce its educational content.
