6:57 PM PT — Nick’s lawyer Judd Burstein tells TMZ… “No complaints have been filed against Ms. Petty at this time, and therefore we are not aware of the specific allegations. However, if the lawsuit is as TMZ is reporting, it is completely false and frivolous. We are confident that the matter brought by this former assistant will be resolved in favor of Ms. Petty as soon as possible.”
Nicki Minaj exploded at his day manager and punched him in the face so hard that it knocked his head back and sent his hat flying off … at least according to a new lawsuit.
The “Starships” rapper is being sued by a man Brandon Garrettwho claims he was working as Nicki’s manager during her tour earlier this year when he got physical with her.
In the petition submitted by the High-powered Advocate Thomas Feher Garrett claims that Nicki sent him after his April 2024 concert in Detroit, and when he returned, he was called into his dressing room.
Garrett claims that Nicky was inside with the rest of his team and he started grilling people about their work duties. He says that he got angry when he found out that Garrett once sent someone else to pick up one of his prescriptions. :
In the suit, Garrett claims Nicky yelled at him. ***You’re a dead man walking all your life, and you’ll never be anybody, I’ll make sure of it.
Garrett claims Nicky kept yelling at him and saying “life is over” before punching him in the right side of the face with an open hand, which he says caused his head to snap back and his hat to fly off from the head.
Nicki’s security team then allegedly swarmed Garrett, and he claims Nicki punched him on the right wrist, knocking the documents in his hand to the floor.
Garrett claims Nicky then told him to “get the f*** out,” and he says he grabbed the hat and quickly left the room … locking himself in a restroom at Little Caesars Arena.
He says his wrist was shaking and his face was hurting when he called his fiancee to let her know what happened … claiming she had been locked in the bathroom for hours, fearing for her safety.
Garrett claims that Nicki’s team wouldn’t let him get on the tour bus back to the tour base in Chicago…leaving him in Detroit.
He’s suing Nicky for assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress…and he’s suing her for damages.
We got to Nicky’s camp…no word back yet.
