Court documents obtained by us show Ronald “Blue” Denton The lawsuit was filed in Florida on Monday … just three days after he says he and thousands of others struggled to watch the Netflix broadcast of El Gallo’s big win over Iron Mike.
Denton claims that as soon as he and others tuned in to the stream around 8pm on Friday, they “ran into fabulous issues, including no access, streaming crashes and buffering issues”.
The woes were of course well documented on fight night on social media…so many took to their X pages to complain about the quality of the product as the boxers entered and exited the ring for the evening’s main event. event
Even the Barstool Sports honcho Dave Portnoy posted a video showing him having trouble getting consistent quality.
Denton is suing Netflix for breach of contract, among other things … and he’s asking for unspecified damages.
Netflix has not publicly commented on the pending litigation … though it acknowledged in a statement Saturday that there were streaming issues during the event.
“We don’t want to ignore the bad experiences of some members,” Netflix officials said, “and we know we have room for improvement, but we still consider this event a huge success.”
