Michael Walt’s deprivation is the outbreak of the civil war for foreign policy.

In Washington Donald Trump, where chaos and constantly strengthening authoritarianism is the agenda, you have to take your good news where you can find it: Shooting last Thursday Ultra-Hockey National Security Advisor Michael Wals was as close to non-mitigated good news as one might hopefully rely now. Of course, the White House denies that it is shooting – or even a lowering; Just shuffling the deck, so the waltz can now become UN ambassador. But all the signs are that the waltz was transferred from a loud and powerful position to symbolic because it is dissatisfied with Donald Trump. Another unexpected but important development is the discovery that the waltz has lost its position not only for its general militarism, but also because Waltz allied with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the pressure of an American attack on Iran.
On Saturday, Washington Post report The Waltza partly abandoned the benefits because he seemed to be intensively coordinated with Netanyahu about the military options against Iran ahead of the Oval Office’s Oval meeting between Israeli leader and Trump. “
The fact that Netanyahu wants the US to start war in Iran is unlikely. Israeli leader pushes American attack decadesHoping that this will forever lead a single obstacle to the regional hegemony of American-Israel. Another factor is that only the Iran of the large countries of the region actually rendered more than the lip service of the Palestinian nationality. It is also unexpected that the waltz will work with Netanyahu over this dangerous scheme. Waltz is Classic neo -Conservative From the type that flourished by George W. Bush: one who prefers military solutions to support the American global hegemony even at risking war with Russia, China and Iran (perhaps at the same time).
The new development is that Trump, although he raised waltz and other neoconservators in high positions, remains cautious about the militarism of the full throttle. At least Iran Trump wants to try to agree on a nuclear deal. Worried that it can be open to the war against Iran if the negotiations do not receive – the real opportunity because, despite its self -proclaimed skill Trump’s “art” art is not really good in negotiations with foreign powers.
As I noted in several recent columnsTrump’s movement is currently waging an important civil war on foreign policy, which, unfortunately, has been ignored by both the main media and progressives. None of Trump’s ambitions are indeed anti -war, but there is an important gap between neo -Coordinators (the full place in the militarists, which Trump has publicly conquered, but still continues to hire his administration because they are an important GOP fraction) and the first nationalists of America (which are more cautious about military interference, but in Western Hemisepge.
It seems that the sin of waltz is that he pushed the neo -conservative program – and, more importantly, the agenda of Netanyahu – ahead than Trump is ready to go.
Washington Post It is noteworthy that the overall arrogance of Wals, as well as its role in the scandal with groups of the group signals, were factors, but the push for war with Iran was too far away:
But the waltz also upset Trump after the visit of the Oval Office in early February by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when the national security adviser seemed to share the Israeli leader’s belief that time was ripe on Iran’s strike …
The appearance of some in the administration was that the waltz tried to tilt the scales in favor of hostilities and worked in gloves with Israelis.
“When Jim Baker did a side deal with Saudi to disrupt George H. Sh. “You can’t do it. You work for your country’s president, not the president of another country.”
In a thoroughly formulated message on X, Netanyahu made it look the way he disputes In the report, arguing: “Contrary to the Washington Post report, Prime Minister Netanyahu did not have intense contact with Mike Waltz on Iran.” But readers of warning noticed that Pillar Nothing is said about “intense contact”, but about “intensive coordination” (which does not require much contact). The ineffective denial of Netanyahu leaves in the area of the core Pillar“It reports that the Israeli Prime Minister pushes for the US war with Iran and that Waltz was an ally in these efforts.
Israeli foreign policy analyst Danny Citrinowicz called attention To the current Trump’s confrontation with Iran’s attack, but rightly notes that if the negotiations do not receive, the question of the war will be on the table again:
Israeli leaders should be very, very careful so as not to be in the center of the discussion in the administration between MAI and Hox about Iran. Things that Israel could do under other administrations will be relentless in this administration. If Trump wants to negotiate with Iran, then Israel needs to help him get the best and realistic rather than fight WH. I think Trump will not forgive for those who will try to ruin the chance of a deal. If the transaction is not reached, we are in a “other sword game”, but still Israel should be very careful.
Trump’s current reluctance to attack Iran will certainly affect the first fraction of ascending America, which in the name of nationalism is wary of giving the card -blanche of any foreign nation – even Israel. This faction is located in the far right side of the American political spectrum, but became an important brake on the impetus for the war.
Recently representative Marzhore Taylor Green Twitter:
I present the basis, and if I am disappointed and upset in the direction of things, it is better to be clear, the base is not satisfied. I campaigned for more foreign wars. And now we are allegedly going to war with Iran. I don’t think we need to bomb foreign countries on behalf of other foreign countries, especially if they have their own nuclear weapons and massive military force.
Milf Right Right Pandita Taker Carlson Sounded like a note:
Whatever you think about tariffs, it is clear that now the worst time for the US to participate in a military strike on Iran. We can’t afford it. Thousands of Americans would have died. We would lose a war that follows. Nothing would be more devastating for our country. And yet we are closer than if -no, thanks to the relentless pressure from the neocons. This is suicide. Anyone who stands for the conflict with Iran is not an ally of the United States but the enemy.

While Green and Carlson are dangerous extremists on many other issues, this is once they are right. The danger is that the anti -war position will be monopolized (or almost so) in the extreme right. While democratic legislators are increasingly and very desirable readiness to criticize Israel in their terrible war against Palestinian civilians, a broader critic of Israel as a regional corder is also needed.
To his merits, the democratic representative of the roe khan took the sides From Marjari Taylor Green about the stupid war with Iran:
I agree @mtgreenee We should not go into war with Iran. The Iraq war was the biggest foreign policy mistake of the 21st century. Americans do not want another war in the Middle East. They want the well -being at home.
More Democrats should act in a complete confrontation between Iran. Just as the devil should not have all the best tunes, the reactionary law should not have a monopoly on the opposite devastating wars.
While the waltz shooting (or moves to a new job) is a positive development, there is enough reason to worry about what will happen in the likely everyday negotiations with Iran’s failure. We already see military hawks using a failure as a result of bombing against Yemen argue for the war Against the Yemen’s ally, Iran. Even when the waltz has gone, Trump has many militarists in his inner circle, including Mark Rubio (who now holds four positions, including Secretary of State and National Security Advisor) and Pete Hegset (Milia Defense Secretary). And on issues that are not related to Iran is the main thing that continues the attack on the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank – Trump is happy to support everything that Israel does. This policy is so devastating that even institutions such as Richard Haas, a former president of the Foreign Relations Council, are expressing horror.
The only way to stop the war with Iran is the creation of a broad anti-war movement to complement the extreme right votes such as Carlson and Green. Progressive Democrats must accept the team over this movement, which is needed by itself, as well as help relieve the ability to use this issue. Over the last decades, liberals and left have allowed the right to steal, which truly progressive positions (in particular in the field of trade and counteraction forever wars). It still has the opportunity to correct this problem, but it requires being sincere and stupid about the dangers and stupidity of the empire – and about the danger from the alleged allies that are pushing for war.
