Body camera footage released by the Phoenix Police Department showed the dramatic moment an officer smashed the sunroof of a flooded car to rescue a man who was trapped.
The American told officers he “accidentally hit the gas too hard” before driving the car into the pool.
The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that there were no other passengers inside. The man was taken to an Arizona hospital after being rescued.
