Queenslanders captured video of what many believed to be a “mini-tornado” that blew across the Brisbane River on November 1.
It happened as a large supercell storm cloud crossed the city in the afternoon, bringing heavy rain and large hail. A severe weather warning has been issued for the area.
Strong winds accompanying the storm cloud began to swirl over the Brisbane River at Kangaroo Point, causing a short-lived flash flood called a tornado over the reservoir.
