
Louis Rubiales told the court that Spanish footballer Jenny Hermas had agreed before kissing her after the finals of the 2023 FIFA World Cup.
The former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is judged by a sexual assault and trying to force Ms. Germas to publicly say that the kiss was consensus.

The incident happened during the Medal Ceremony after Victory in Spain in Australia, causing protests and calls for Mr. Rubiales’ resignation. He denies any criminal violations.
By giving evidence, Mr. Rubials described the kiss as a “act of commitment.
“It was a huge moment for her,” he said. “We thanked each other, she pressed me very much around the waist, and I asked if I kissed, and she said” yes. “

“I don’t remember for sure,” he replied. “But I think it was a small kiss.”
He was also asked if he knew about a protocol against sexual harassment and sexual abuse, to which he replied that he knew about it.

All four defendants deny the allegations against them.
The prosecutor’s office is looking for two and a half years in prison for Rubioles. The court, which runs until February 19, continues.
