LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles sports organizations are teaming up to launch a custom logo and apparel line, “LA Strong,” that will raise money for organizations helping those affected this week. destructive fires
Fanatics announced Friday that jerseys featuring the new logo will be available for purchase at team and league online stores, as well as at Fanatics website. The partnership includes seven leagues, including the University of Southern California and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Committee.
The sports organization and Fanatics will donate all proceeds from the event to the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation. LA Strong hoodies will also be available in the coming weeks.
“What’s happening is absolutely appalling and it’s our duty to use our platform as best we can,” Fanatics founder Michael Rubin said in a statement. He said he was heartbroken to see “the terror continue to spread across Los Angeles and completely upend so many lives.
“We’re proud to have partnered with the LA sports community to launch the new ‘LA Strong’ merchandise collection,” he said.
Wind-blown flames swept through Los AngelesHouses were destroyed, roads were blocked, when tens of thousands of people fled, the fires burned without closure on Wednesday.
Professional teams joining the initiative include the Los Angeles Lakers, Dodgers, Rams, Chargers, Clippers, Sparks, Angels, Kings, Football Club, Galaxy, Golf Club (TGL), Angel City FC and Anaheim Ducks.
Leagues range from the National Football League, National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball, National Hockey League, Major League Soccer, Women’s Basketball Association, and the TMRW Golf League.
