Kosovo election: Alvin Kurti’s ruling party ahead but short of majority, exit poll shows

Its popularity was increased by the efforts to expand government control over the majority of ethnic Serbs north.

US and most major EU countries have recognized, but Serbia, supported by its powerful ally Russia, refuses to do it, like most ethnic Serbs in Kosovo.
