Israel says it struck targets in Lebanon late Monday after vowing revenge for a Hezbollah attack on a military post, with both sides accusing the other of violating a ceasefire last week.
In a statement on X, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said more details about its strikes would be released later.
The Iran-backed Hezbollah group said it fired mortars at Israeli army positions in the Israeli-occupied area in response to earlier ceasefire violations.
Israel said no one was injured in Hezbollah strikes in the Mount Dov area, a disputed region on the Israeli-Lebanese border known internationally as the Shebaa Farms.
